12-Core NZ Brand PBN Non-Zero Dispersion Fiber Optic Cable (OBUC) with (ITU-G655) cores. The 12-core fiber optic cable consists of 2 loose tubes made of PBT material, with 6 optical cores inside each loose tube and 4 loose tubes filled with filler. This category of cables is suitable for direct burial under soil and environments with rodents and for long distances. In the following, the structural features of this type of optical fiber are discussed. All properties are fully compatible with the latest revision of TCI specifications.
12 Core OBUC Dry Fiber Optic Cable (2×6)
PBN OBUC-NZ cable is an optical fiber ground cable that can be buried directly underground, this type of cable uses G655 strands, known in the market as NZ or NZDSF, which means non-zero dispersion. This cable is resistant to ultraviolet or UV rays due to the use of black high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and Corgit Armor. This cable is used for long distances between cities.

Central resistance member
Reinforced polymer (FRP) with a diameter of 2.5 μm is used as a central resistive element.Lovetubes are made of polybutene terephthalate (PBT) with a minimum thickness of 0.4 mm. The fibers are spirally placed in the loose tube to have the ability to expand and contract. In order to prevent water penetration, loose tubes are filled with thixotropic gel.
Cable core
The NZDSF light blinds in this product are placed in 6 colors inside each light tube and the additional light tubes are filled with filler.
Moisture absorbent tape
To make the cable waterproof, the core is wrapped in moisture absorbent tape.
Basic jacket
MDPE (medium density polyethylene) or LDPE (low density polyethylene) is placed.
Corrugated Armored
It is a metal anti-rodent that is inserted in the form of a congress and placed on the primary jacket. It is used to prevent the damage of rodents.
outer jacket
Black HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) according to ASTM-1248 covers the entire cable as a 2 mm thick outer jacket.
Ripcord
Under the outer jacket, two Ripcords are placed to assist the operator in removing the jacket.
