OTO abbreviation of Optical termination Outlet is used in the home or work area to complete the access and port output of the dual-core optical fiber, which can fully meet the requirements of the bending radius of the fiber and protect the incoming and outgoing optical fiber to provide safe protection for the core. The optical interface can be chosen between SC simplex or LC duplex. This type has 2 SC simplex connectors.

Fiber Optic Outlet Applications

The OTO gives the protection of fiber splicing, termination, storage in FTTH, FTTO, FTTD applications. The fiber optic box is small and easy to install in the subscriber’s home, usually mounted in the wall or standard electrical junction box.

Normally a 2 core OTO is enough for home usage but for industrial areas 4 core OTO is better.
