Original design of Sumitomo fiber optic cable
Colored coded fibers are contained in multi-colored coded plastic tubes that are wrapped around a centrally resistant element using a reverse oscillating layer (ROL). The anti-moisture compound, which fills the gap inside the blind, protects against water penetration. The polyethylene sheath is covered with a ripcord below it through the cable core for the inner sheath.
Corrugated steel strip armor and external polyethylene with ripcord wire are applied under the steel strip on the inner core of the sheathed cable.
